Position Summary The Suites Assistant Manager supports the day-to-day operation of premium suite hospitality, helping deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This hands-on leadership role oversees event preparation and execution, supports staffing and service teams, maintains operational and guest service standards, and assists in managing approximately 53-82 suites during events. The position works closely with the leadership team to ensure efficient operations, strong service delivery, and memorable experiences for guests. Job Responsibilities Support the day-to-day operation of premium suites during games, concerts, and special events. Assist with event preparation, execution, and post-event activities to ensure a seamless guest experience. Provide leadership, direction, and support to supervisors and event-day service staff. Maintain high standards of guest service, presentation, cleanliness, and operational excellence. Monitor suite readiness, product availability, suite details, and service execution throughout events. Support suite ordering, inventory replenishment, and waste-control initiatives. Respond promptly to guest concerns and lead guest recovery efforts to ensure satisfaction. Assist with staffing plans, labour deployment, and real-time operational adjustments during events. Coach, train, and motivate team members while fostering a positive and accountable service culture. Collaborate with Culinary, Premium Services, Sales, and Event Operations teams to ensure coordinated event execution. Support compliance with food safety, liquor service, and workplace safety standards. Identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational efficiency, communication, and guest satisfaction. Maintain accurate operational records and communicate event requirements, priorities, and updates to the team. Lead by example and promote a culture of hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Active participation in the Safety Program and follow all safety rules. Other duties as required. Job Skills and Qualifications Minimum 5 years of progressive hospitality experience, including leadership or supervisory experience. Experience in premium hospitality, suites, private clubs, hotels, restaurants, catering, or sports and entertainment venues preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees. Excellent guest service and relationship-building skills with a commitment to creating exceptional experiences. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of event operations, staffing, labour deployment, inventory management, and service standards. Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and other operational systems is an asset. Understanding of food safety, liquor service regulations, and workplace safety practices. Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is considered an asset. Equivalent experience will be considered. Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach with a strong attention to detail. Valid Food Safety Certification and ProServe, or the ability to obtain them before employment. Availability to work a flexible, event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
