Role Description The Yard Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Buda, TX, responsible for overseeing daily operations in the yard and ensuring safe, efficient movement and storage of materials, equipment, and signage. This role coordinates the loading and unloading of trucks, organizes inventory and staging areas, and ensures that crews have the correct materials and equipment for scheduled installations. The Yard Supervisor monitors the use and maintenance of heavy equipment and forklifts, enforces safety procedures, and keeps the yard clean, orderly, and compliant with company standards. This position works closely with installation teams, office staff, and management to communicate schedules, resolve logistical issues, and support timely project completion. The role requires consistent presence on-site, hands-on leadership, and a focus on operational reliability and customer service. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills with experience leading yard, warehouse, or field operations teams. Proficiency in yard management, including organizing materials, staging jobs, and coordinating logistics. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment and forklift operation, including safe handling and basic maintenance. Effective communication skills for coordinating with crews, drivers, office personnel, and management. Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to yard operations, equipment use, and material handling. Ability to work in an outdoor, physically active environment, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods. Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in construction, or similar industries is preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
