Yard Mover / Yard Driver

Job Responsibilities Safely move trailers and containers within the warehouse yard. Position trailers at designated dock doors and parking spaces according to operational schedules. Perform trailer coupling, uncoupling, and basic safety inspections. Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, and dispatch teams to support efficient loading and unloading. Report vehicle damage, equipment issues, and safety hazards promptly. Assist with yard organization and trailer inventory as needed. Qualifications Valid driver’s license required. Previous experience operating a yard truck, spotter truck, or tractor-trailer is preferred. Ability to safely back, dock, couple, and uncouple trailers. Strong safety awareness and basic vehicle inspection skills. Willingness to work outdoors, rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Ability to use handheld devices or transportation management systems. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, climbing, and occasional lifting.
