Wrecker Driver

Job Summary As a Wrecker Driver, you’ll respond to your Manager's tasks daily and safely transport disabled or recovered vehicles using a tow truck. You’ll combine commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and customer service to ensure vehicles get picked up in a timely manner. Your impact: Safe, careful towing helps customers and other road users by reducing roadside risks and protecting vehicles during recovery. Seth Wadley Auto Group Duties Drive a tow truck, including a flatbed, to service locations and transport vehicles using car towing and vehicle recovery towing methods. Load and unload vehicles; use safe vehicle loading practices and follow cargo securement protocols before travel. Assess vehicle condition, perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical vehicle repair when appropriate, and communicate findings clearly. Apply automotive diagnostics, automotive repair knowledge, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers to support safe recovery decisions. Provide professional customer service, manage conflicts calmly, and complete required service and vehicle records. Requirements Must have CDL and either have or be able to be certified by the State Valid qualifications for commercial driving and commercial truck driving, as required by applicable regulations; able to operate a manual transmission. Experience driving a tow truck and safely loading vehicles onto a tow truck; familiarity with flatbed equipment is valuable. Mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics, or mechanic experience; automotive repair experience is preferred. Understanding of cargo securement protocols, load and unload procedures, and safe vehicle recovery towing practices. Strong communication and conflict management skills, with a customer-focused approach and sound judgment in roadside situations.
