About the Role: The WHSE Material Handler II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of materials within the warehouse environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products in a timely manner to support production and operational needs. The role requires close coordination with inventory control and logistics teams to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper documentation. The Material Handler II will also be involved in maintaining a safe and organized warehouse space, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall supply chain effectiveness by facilitating smooth material flow and minimizing delays. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred). Basic computer skills, including familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying warehouse conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Forklift operator certification. Experience with RF scanning technology and computerized inventory systems. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices. Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Store materials in designated locations and maintain organized inventory. Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment or production use according to work orders. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and logistics personnel to prioritize daily tasks and resolve issues. Document all material movements accurately using warehouse management systems. Skills: The required skills enable the Material Handler II to efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in daily operations. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is essential for safe and effective material movement. Computer skills, including the use of warehouse management systems, support accurate tracking and documentation of inventory.
