complex portfolio of supplier contracts, communicates with supply chain leadership to develop, implement, and execute on strategic contract initiatives to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests.
• Works with program managers to draft Master Terms Agreements, Purchase Agreements, flow down provisions, and other related agreements to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
• Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
• Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policies, government and commercial specifications and other requirements.
• Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms and conditions.
• Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.
• Maintains historical legal records.
• Briefs Management and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline work flow and improve quality of work product. Brings forward recommendations to increase efficiencies through use of tool or process enhancements.
• Represents the organization on issues concerning contract matters.
• Provides advice on contractual matters and contract administration.
• Manages medium-sized projects.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience OR Advanced Degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In the absence of a degree, 9 years of experience is Required
• US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate or Advanced Degree in Business
