Water Truck Driver/Groundsperson

Overview: Naceville Quarry, a partner of The H&K Group, Inc is searching for the ideal Water Truck Driver/Groundsperson to join their team! The driver operates water truck to transport and dump water for dust suppression, and assist with plant maintenance. A CDL license is not required. Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? Perform pre and post trip of truck every day and fill out daily inspection sheets. Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate water truck. Drives safely and efficiently to transport material and achieve production goals. Does regular inspection of roadways to determine dust suppression needs. Performs routine maintenance on truck such as lubricating and cleaning. Perform all work following company policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Skills, Education, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training A combination of education and experience may be considered Driver’s license Clean Driving record Effective verbal and written communication Mathematical skills Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience Applicable safety certifications from OSHA, MSHA, etc. Previous experience in surface mining, construction materials, heavy civil and highway construction Physical Demands Regularly required to Sit Use hands to finger, handle, or feel Reach with hands and arms Frequently required to talk or hear Occasionally required to Stand Walk, climb, or balance Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities: Distance Peripheral Depth perception Work Environment Regularly exposed to Outside weather conditions Vibration Frequently exposed to Moving mechanical parts Fumes or airborne particles Noise level is usually loud The H&K Group, Inc. provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
