Warehouse Worker – Forklift & Warehouse Operations

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced warehouse worker to help manage daily operations at our Brooklyn warehouse. Fluent Spanish and good English communication skills are required. This is a hands-on position involving physical warehouse work, forklift operation, unloading floor-loaded containers, picking and packing orders, and organizing warehouse activities. Responsibilities: Operate a forklift safely to move and organize merchandise. Manually unload floor-loaded shipping containers. Lift, move, and stack heavy boxes. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. Receive and organize incoming inventory. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Take responsibility for daily warehouse tasks and workflow. Coordinate with other workers and temporary employees when needed. Requirements: Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience. Fluent Spanish and good English communication skills. Forklift operating experience. Experience picking, packing, and unloading merchandise. Ability to perform physically demanding work, with or without reasonable accommodation. Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Compensation: $19–$23 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, pallet jacks to load, unload, stock, and move materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control by accurately picking, packing, stocking, and organizing products using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software. Perform shipping and receiving duties by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists; prepare items for outbound delivery with proper packaging and labeling. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and materials handling with adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by using personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety protocol adherence, and participating in safety training sessions. Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, loading trucks, and unloading incoming freight to meet delivery deadlines. Support warehouse management through routine inspections of equipment like cranes and stockpiles to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Experience Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts, crane operations, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong background in warehouse distribution with knowledge of logistics procedures including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software like AS400 or equivalent systems. Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use during heavy equipment operation and manual handling tasks. Previous warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles within warehousing environments are advantageous but not mandatory.…
