Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Forklift Driver Department: Shipping/Receiving Reports to: Warehouse Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Warehouse Worker / Forklift Driver supports warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations at our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping raw materials and finished goods while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards. The associate safely operates forklifts and other material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment and works as a reliable team player to support production and inbound/outbound shipments. Key Responsibilities · Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and/or pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials. · Receive incoming raw materials and supplies, verify quantities and paperwork, and put away stock in designated locations. · Pick and stage finished goods and ingredients for production and outbound shipments. · Load and unload trucks using proper procedures to prevent product damage. · Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems. · Follow correct rotation protocol for all products and procedures (FIFO/FEFO). · Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of debris to support GMP and food safety standards. · Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately. · Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and general warehouse housekeeping. · Comply with all food safety requirements, including allergen controls, temperature monitoring, and proper handling of food-grade materials. · Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to meet daily goals. · Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements · High school diploma or GED preferred. · Minimum 1-2 years of forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (food industry experience preferred). · Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one within 30 days). · Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, lift and/or move up to 150 lbs occasionally with assistance as necessary; stand for extended periods. · Basic computer and scanner skills. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. · Must be able to work in varying temperatures (refrigerated, frozen, or ambient areas) and flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed. · Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset. Preferred Skills · Experience with warehouse management systems. · Knowledge of food safety practices (GMP, HACCP, SQF). · Previous experience in food manufacturing or distribution warehouse.
