Job Overview The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by safely and accurately receiving, storing, handling, picking, packing, staging, and shipping customer material while maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting customer requirements. After the 3 month orientation period, employees in this role operate with greater independence and technical expertise while assisting in training and supporting less experienced team members. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Receive incoming materials, products, and customer shipments. · Verify quantities, part numbers, condition, and documentation against receiving paperwork. · Inspect material for visible damage or discrepancies and report issues as required. · Label and/or identify material according to warehouse requirements. · Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as authorized. · Move material between receiving, storage, production areas, staging, and shipping. · Store material in the appropriate location while maintaining proper identification and traceability. · Follow FIFO and/or other customer specific inventory requirements when applicable. · Pick material according to customer orders, pick lists, or system instructions. · Verify part numbers and quantities before staging shipments and loading. · Prepare and consolidate customer orders for shipment. · Assist with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently. · Maintain accurate physical inventory and proper material identification. · Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits. · Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. · Maintain and complete accurate system transactions and records for receipts, moves, picks, and shipments, for traceability purposes. · Support multiple customers and adapt to different warehouse processes and requirements. · Escalate shortages, damages, discrepancies, or delivery risks to supervisor. · Follow all safety requirements, and report unsafe conditions immediately · Perform daily forklift/equipment inspections before use. · Maintain clean, organized, and clearly identified work areas. · Use the warehouse management system to complete required transactions. · Identify opportunities to improve material flow, warehouse organization, productivity, and inventory accuracy, by participating in Lean, 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities. · Support implementation of standardized work. · Other duties as assigned. Certifications & Training: Successful completion of company VAIS, quality, and safety training programs (required). · All future participation in company training and safety training programs for multiple VAIS processes and equipment operations (required). · Forklift certification and the ability to maintain a valid training certificate (preferred). · Crane certification and the ability to maintain a valid training certificate (preferred).
