Warehouse Team Lead
Alliant PowerKey Departmental Responsibilities Operates lift trucks, hand trucks, pallet jacks and carts. Monitors outbound order module and ensures orders are printed and staged according to priority for staff to pull in a timely matter Responsible for and oversees auditing, registering and processing orders for shipping using delivery method indicated, ensuring correct item and quantity picked, packaging product in a manner that minimizes damage during shipment Responsible for and oversees customer core check in, customer new return and customer warranty, recording and ensuing all are processed in the system accurately, as well as documentation needed to finalize return to vendors Responsible for and oversees the sorting of incoming freight and all procedures related to checking product in and receiving into the system in a timely matter. Corresponds with vendors and resolves issues on discrepancies or damages Responsible for, assists if needed and oversees the stocking of product in correct bin locations, maintaining correct bin locations and stock bins by assuring proper sizing, labeling and condition. Responsible for, assists if needed and oversees the picking of part orders, ensuring they are pulled in a timely matter to fulfill customer willcall and outbound orders. Responsible for and oversees record keeping on cycle counts, investigating and correcting inventory issues Responsible and oversees inspection of defective material communicated through DF quality department, reports if needed and processes proper documentation for return. Responsible for and oversees organizing and maintaining records on orders shipped, customer core returns received, PO’s for items received, customer new returns and vendor core returns shipped. Monitors and orders supplies as needed, keeping the yearly budget in mind when doing so. Establishes and trains staff on all procedures related to the warehouse and processes Oversees the maintaining of the warehouse, work area, dock area and equipment in order to keep a clean, orderly environment. Recommends and assists the Operations Manager in implementing operating procedures and staffing needs that will promote the continuous improvement within the department. Assist and supports Operations Manager with LEAN & 5S training, practices, implementation and sustainment. Ensures correct/updated procedures are being followed; monitors the safety of employees in the warehouse in accordance with OSHA standards; and interrupts and corrects any dangerous behaviors. Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Ensures conformance with the requirements of the Diesel Forward Quality Management System. Assists other employees both in and out of the department. Provides feedback on system needs/changes. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution supervisory and/or leadership experience Experience in training, developing, motivating, and building relationships with a team Experience using Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Teams Experience with Microsoft NAV and/or Business Central a plus Experience operating a variety of types of power equipment a plus (forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers) Experience working with both parcel and LTL carriers Willing to work flexible hours when required by the business Willing to work Saturdays when required by the business Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
