JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Shipper-Receiver to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse . Our warehouse handles a variety of plastic, paper and glass products for customers in the foodservice, packaging and distribution industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a warehouse operation and grow into a leadership role. The successful candidate will initially be responsible for shipping, receiving, order preparation and forklift operations, with the expectation that they will assume increasing responsibility for the overall warehouse within the first several months. An assistant will eventually report to this position. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operation and organization of the warehouse. Receive, inspect and put away incoming shipments. Pick, prepare, stage and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently. Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Ensure products are stored safely and efficiently. Maintain an organized warehouse and maximize available storage space. Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory counts and cycle counts. Ensure products are properly identified, labelled and stored in the correct locations. Coordinate daily priorities to ensure orders are completed on time. Communicate with office staff regarding orders, shortages, damaged goods and delivery requirements. Work with drivers and freight carriers during pickups and deliveries. Identify and report damaged or missing products. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with team management responsibilities Valid forklift certification with demonstrated safe operation skills Familiarity with process improvement methodologies within manufacturing or logistics settings English language is a requirement, reading, writing, and speaking Excellent organizational skills with the ability to analyze data for continuous process enhancement Knowledge of heavy lifting safety procedures and manufacturing best practices Join our team to contribute your leadership talents and technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
