POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Operations Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for daily warehouse activities, ensuring customer orders are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time. This role directs front-line employees, plans labor, monitors performance, resolves operational issues, and maintains a clean, organized, and compliant facility. The supervisor serves as a key link between warehouse associates, management, customer service, inventory control, and transportation partners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Lead daily inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns activities to meet service, quality, and productivity targets. · Plan staffing and assign work based on order volume, inbound appointments, priorities, employee capabilities, and customer deadlines. · Conduct shift start-up meetings; communicate safety expectations, workload, priorities, performance goals, and operational changes. · Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates and team leads; provide timely feedback, recognition, corrective coaching, and documented performance follow-up. · Monitor labor productivity, order accuracy, on-time shipment, dock-to-stock time, inventory discrepancies, damages, and other key performance indicators. · Verify that receiving, putaway, picking, packing, labeling, loading, and documentation comply with customer requirements and standard operating procedures. · Investigate shipping errors, inventory variances, damages, and service failures; identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions. · Coordinate with customer service, inventory, transportation, and management to resolve exceptions and maintain clear, timely communication. · Maintain accurate transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS), shipping platforms, labor tools, and related operational records. · Ensure equipment inspections, housekeeping, aisle clearance, rack condition, trailer loading, and material-handling practices meet company safety standards. · Support cycle counts, physical inventories, slotting, replenishment, and location audits to protect inventory accuracy and space utilization. · Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve flow, increase capacity, control cost, and strengthen the customer experience. · Assist with onboarding and training employees on procedures, equipment, quality standards, and safe work methods. · Respond to changing business needs, including overtime, schedule adjustments, and coverage across warehouse functions as required. LEADERSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY · Model professionalism, urgency, fairness, accountability, and respect in all employee and customer interactions. · Apply policies and work standards consistently; escalate employee relations, safety, quality, or customer issues appropriately. · Build a culture of safety, ownership, continuous improvement, and teamwork while maintaining high expectations for execution. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred. · Two or more years of warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or logistics experience, including at least one year in a lead or supervisory capacity. · Working knowledge of receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, parcel and freight shipping, and warehouse safety practices. · Experience using a WMS, shipping software, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and basic operational reporting. · Ability to prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly with employees and cross-functional partners. · Strong coaching, problem-solving, organization, follow-through, and basic business math skills. · Forklift or power…
