Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Elk Grove, Illinois, USA Airport: ORD Job ref: 242 Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will use their knowledge and experience to plan, organize and direct the warehouse team. You will supervise the performance of the team in receiving, proper record keeping for additions and deletions, preparation of product for shipment according to specifications, transportation of material internally and assure team members are executing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Along with the Station Manager you will be responsible for the daily activities of the warehouse team to include overall warehouse organization and scheduling of personnel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff Coach, train and develop employees and motivate and counsel staff when needed Ensure that proper process and procedure are being followed Be responsible for proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure warehouse staff have safe, efficient equipment to perform duties Advise employees on the safe and proper methods of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping Ensure maintenance of records and reports on productivity, quality and attendance Minimize errors and develop positive working environment Prepare work schedules, expedite workflow and assign specific duties to staff Review work for accuracy, neatness, timeliness and conformance to policies and procedures Requirements: Minimum 3 years of leadership experience Experience working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs The ability to work independently with minimum supervision Excellent planning and organizational skills Strong interpersonal communication skills Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment Must be able to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet stackers and pallet jacks Routinely lift 70 pounds Ability to work in a warehouse environment subject to moderate deviations in temperature, moving machinery and low levels of noise Must pass drug test and background check Must live within a 35-mile radius of job location Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED Benefits & Compensation: Competitive Compensation – Depends on Experience Health Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Employee Assistance Program If you enjoy a fast paced environment, are a self-starter, have great organizational skills and are a team player - apply for this great position today.
