Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor 
 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all warehouse and materials management activities at the site. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse personnel while ensuring alignment with operational priorities, inventory accuracy standards, and supply chain processes. 

  

The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure materials are received, stored, and issued in a timely and controlled manner to support construction and ongoing operations. 

 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 
 

Warehouse Operations Management  

  • Oversee all day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, issuing, and inventory control  

  • Ensure materials are handled, stored, and preserved in accordance with company standards and manufacturer requirements  

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and warehouse layout efficiency  

  • Lead continuous improvement of warehouse processes, layout, and material flow 

 

   Inventory Management & Systems 

  • Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded and aligned within the Pronto ERP system 

  • Maintain and drive inventory accuracy targets (cycle counts, reconciliations, variance analysis)  

  • Oversee material master data integrity and stock parameters  

  • Support implementation and compliance of standardized warehouse procedures and controls 

 

   Leadership & Supervision 

  • Provide direct, hands-on leadership and supervision to warehouse personnel  

  • Coordinate daily work activities, prioritize tasks, and resolve operational conflicts  

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve capability and accountability  

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and support onboarding of new employees 
     

Health, Safety & Compliance 

  • Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements  

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, field-level risk assessments, and safety interactions  

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe work practices  

  • Support compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., BC Mines Act, site policies, SOX controls where applicable) 
     

Coordination with Procurement & Logistics 

  • Coordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely receipt and availability of materials  

  • Support Logistics (in collaboration with Logistics Lead) to ensure efficient inbound/outbound material flow  

  • Assist in resolving material discrepancies, damages, and supply chain disruptions  

  • Provide input into planning and scheduling of material deliveries and staging 
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Construction teams to understand material requirements  

  • Support planning and readiness by ensuring materials are staged and available as   

  • Participate in coordination meetings to align supply chain activities with site priorities

The Ideal Candidate 

Education / Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in warehouse, materials management or supply chain roles, preferably in mining, construction or heavy industry 

Experience / Skills  

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in warehouse or logistics environment 

  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems (experience with Pronto or similar ERP preferred) 

  • Experience working in remote or site-based operations is an asset 

  • Strong leadership and team management capability (hands-on, visible leadership style)  

  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process discipline  

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment  

  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills  

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement 

 

 

Work Location & Conditions 

 

This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on 15 days on/13 days off rotation.       

  

The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena’s Travel Policy.      

  

There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.       

 

Compensation 
The expected salary range for this position is CAD 120,000 - 135,000 in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
