Warehouse Receiving Forklift Driver

Position Summary Responsible for receiving product into US1 from outside vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: · Checking in truck drivers delivering products to US1. Requires logging in the driver as a visitor, physically lock the air brakes on the driver’s truck and the wheel chalks. · Use various types of material handling equipment to unload trucks, such as driving a forklift, steering a pallet jack. · Physically separate items, 1 item per pallet per purchase order. · Complete product counts and flag pallets which requires handwriting product details on pallet flag. · Fill out the proper forms, trucking paperwork and P.O.’s. · Perform quality assurance, check condition of product, notify management of damages. · Identify product discrepancies; filter to sales/labeling/logistics. · Stay busy when not doing receiving work by cleaning or helping in another department. · Driving sit-down forklift into dry, chilled and frozen temperature environments to put away product · Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) · Must be able to work in a cold environment. · Must have at least 1-year prior experience operating a forklift. · Must show knowledge of shipping containers (size and weight restrictions) and loading skills. · Must possess time management skills. · Must have excellent communication skills with other Department Managers. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. · This is a fully in person position with no opportunity for remote work. · Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
