Laser Safety IndustriesLaser Safety Industries is a growing Minneapolis-area manufacturer and supplier of laser safety equipment used by industrial, manufacturing, research, government, and educational organizations. We manufacture and distribute laser safety barriers, curtains, windows, eyewear, and other equipment used to help protect people working around high-powered laser systems. We are a small, growing company, which means this position is more hands-on and varied than a typical warehouse role. We are looking for someone dependable who enjoys working with their hands, working around manufacturing equipment, staying organized, and helping wherever needed. Position Overview We are looking for a Warehouse & Production Associate to support our day-to-day warehouse, manufacturing, production, inventory, packaging, shipping, product assembly, and laser-cutting operations. This is a hands-on position that includes preparing customer orders, receiving and organizing inventory, assembling laser safety barrier systems, managing and operating our laser cutter, assisting with production, and maintaining an organized warehouse and production area. We specifically want someone who already has manufacturing or production experience and knows that this is the type of work they enjoy. This is not intended to be a temporary warehouse position or simply a stepping stone into unrelated office work. We are looking for someone who enjoys manufacturing, assembly, working with equipment, and making physical products and wants to continue working in that type of environment. Laser-industry experience is not required. We will train the right person on our products and equipment. Responsibilities Typical responsibilities include: Pick, prepare, package, and label customer orders Receive incoming inventory and production materials Organize and maintain warehouse inventory Assist with inventory counts and stock management Assemble laser safety barrier systems and related components Prepare barrier frames, panels, hardware, and accessories for customer orders Assist with custom barrier builds and other made-to-order products Manage and operate the laser cutter used in production Load materials, set up jobs, and run laser-cutting programs Monitor cut quality and make basic adjustments when needed Coordinate laser-cutting work with daily production and customer-order priorities Keep the laser cutter and surrounding production area clean and organized Identify operating issues and communicate maintenance or service needs Prepare products and materials for production Perform assembly and light manufacturing work Operate equipment used for cutting, marking, labeling, and preparing products Inspect assembled products and outgoing orders for quality and completeness Prepare custom customer orders Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment Load, unload, move, and store materials as needed Work with the rest of the team to make sure customer orders are completed on schedule Learn multiple parts of our operation and assist wherever needed Because we are a small company, responsibilities may vary from day to day depending on customer orders and what needs to get done. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who has previous manufacturing or production experience and is intentionally looking for another hands-on role in that type of environment.
