Warehouse Operator

Job purpose: Responsible for performing functions in the warehouse. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Provides forklift material-handling services for manufacturing department and receiving and shipping areas of the facility Ability to work with other employees under his section Shipping orders through UPS and FedEx Repack of 1kilo or more To adhere to cGMP and FSSC 22000 standards. Skills and Essential Functions: Responsible for ensuring that warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably, including shipping and receiving Knowledge in operating the warehouse forklifts Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load and move materials Ability to identify and transport material to and from storage areas Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material to and from designated areas within the facility Ability to keep track of all goods that are shipped to different purchasers Ability to keep track and receive items used in the manufacturing process Ability to lift heavy items or move large stacks with a forklift Responsible for checking shipments as they come into the company Responsible for checking damaged goods, record or process shipment making sure it goes to the appropriate recipient within the company Ability to coordinate shipping and customer delivery activities from the company’s shipping dock Prepares bill of landing for inter-warehouse transfers Position Requirements: Education: High School Diploma and/or Trade School Diploma. AA or BS Degree Preferred Experience: Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a FDA / cGMP manufacturing facility Skills: Computer knowledge, good organizational skills, good understanding of cGMP and FDA Regulations Pay: $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
