Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse and cold storage operations within a food manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is responsible for leading warehouse employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing receiving and loading operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and food safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who knows how to build strong teams, improve operational efficiency, manage inventory and labor, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Leadership & Team Management Lead daily warehouse and cold storage operations to achieve company goals and performance objectives. Hire, train, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees. Establish clear goals and expectations for the warehouse team. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance development. Promote teamwork and accountability across the operation. Warehouse & Inventory Operations Establish and maintain efficient inventory management processes and systems. Ensure accurate receiving, storage, picking, inventory control, and product movement. Optimize Warehouse Management Systems and voice-picking technology to maximize inventory and picking accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and accuracy to support production, transportation, wholesale, and distributor requirements. Oversee receiving of both internally manufactured and purchased products. Manage return-to-stock processes and ensure inventory is properly controlled. Maintain accurate loading documentation, reconciliation counts, and required paperwork. Drive loading accuracy and eliminate overages, shortages, and shipment errors. Oversee case and palletizing operations to ensure accurate and timely loading. Safety & Food Safety Champion a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse operation. Conduct regular workplace inspections and ensure hazards are identified and corrected promptly. Ensure employees are properly trained and follow safe work practices. Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards. Promote a strong food safety culture throughout the operation. Continuous Improvement Apply a continuous improvement mindset to warehouse processes and systems. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, accuracy, quality, and cost. Establish and monitor department metrics and communicate performance results. Review labor costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Develop and implement processes that support long-term operational improvements. Cross-Functional Operations Work closely with Customer Service, Transportation, Production, Branches, and other departments to maintain a smooth flow of products and information. Respond quickly to internal and external customer issues and ensure timely resolution. Maintain positive relationships across the organization and with external partners. Facility & Equipment Maintain the warehouse floor, drive units, conveyors, palletizers, drains, walls, ceilings, loading areas, and surrounding grounds to company standards. Ensure warehouse equipment and operating areas remain safe, clean, and functional. What we are looking for Required High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, cold storage, food manufacturing, or a similar operational environment. Experience leading warehouse or distribution teams. Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations. Continuous improvement mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership, team-building, coaching, and employee development skills. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
