Warehouse Operations Manager – Logistics & Distribution Company: SixSide Logistics Inc. As we continue growing our operations in Western Canada, we're looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our Calgary team. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our daily warehouse and distribution activities. The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting a team, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. Lead, supervise, and train warehouse staff while promoting accountability, productivity, and teamwork. Plan and coordinate warehouse workflows, staffing, and resources to ensure efficient daily operations. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and effective inventory controls. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries. Manage third-party logistics (3PL) client requirements while maintaining service standards and customer satisfaction. Monitor operational performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical improvements to reduce errors and costs. Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment. Oversee warehouse equipment, supplies, maintenance requirements, and space utilization. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistency, accuracy, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with internal departments, transportation providers, and senior management to address operational challenges. Provide regular management updates on warehouse performance, staffing, inventory, and operational priorities. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations. Experience supervising or leading warehouse teams. Knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage daily priorities and work independently. Knowledge of warehouse health and safety practices. Additional Experience Considered an Asset Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) operations or multiple client accounts. Experience implementing warehouse process improvements, SOPs, or operational efficiency initiatives. Forklift certification or hands-on experience with warehouse equipment.
