Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
• Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse staff while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Schedule and assign daily tasks, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.
• Monitor receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory activities to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by overseeing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
• Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and participate in performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations to ensure efficient material flow and timely order fulfillment.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
• Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment, coordinating repairs when necessary.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining warehouse procedures, KPIs, and best practices.
• Support year-end inventory counts and internal or external audits.
• Assist with incoming shipments.
• Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory movement and transactions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous experience supervising warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer Relations (answering customer inquiries related to warehouse & logistics activities).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and pallet lifts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory management.
• Effective communication skills in French and English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP Business One experience is an asset).
