Warehouse Operations Lead

KenMed Surgical refurbishes and sells surgical equipment to surgery centers and hospitals nationwide. Every unit we sell crosses our warehouse floor. We need an experienced warehouse professional to run the daily flow of that equipment: receiving, inspection, refurb prep, quality control and shipping. Then grow into leading the team. This is not a clock-in, coast, clock-out job. Read the whole posting before you apply. How to apply is at the bottom, and it matters. What you'll own Receiving and inspection: check inbound equipment and auction lots against the paperwork, photograph and document damage. Shipping: run the daily FedEx block and all outbound. Pack, palletize, wrap, label and stage. Book LTL shipments and complete bills of lading. Refurb and quality control: prep units at the bench (casters, batteries, covers, labels, touch-up paint, cleaning) and check finished work before it ships. Nothing leaves that isn't right. Flow: know what came in, what's stuck and what ships today. Flag problems before they become delays. Standard: the warehouse is clean, organized and safe at the end of every day. Local deliveries and pickups in the company box truck. Where this goes Once you've mastered the floor, we train you into process improvement, cost control, and other leadership opportunities. How fast you move on it is up to you. Respect for the systems in place Our inventory and listing departments are run by specialists who built those systems. Inventory accuracy, cycle counts, monthly scans and records follow their process, and you'll work alongside them to keep it right. We need someone who follows a good system first, then makes it better through the people who own it. Who this is for KenMed was built on hard work. We're a 12-person team, and when someone doesn't carry their load, everyone feels it. This job is for people who see the standard as the minimum. You hear it once and it's done, and you come back to show it's done. You notice the label that doesn't match, the count that's off, the floor that isn't clean, and you fix it without being asked. You walk in ready. The schedule is set; you run it. Phones stay in your pocket on the floor. Pace gets noticed. Who this isn't for If you want a job where you clock in, coast and clock out, this isn't it. We'd rather tell you now. We promote from within. Ownership notices people who bring more today than they did yesterday, and rewards them. Raises are earned, not scheduled. What you bring 3+ years in warehouse, shipping/receiving or logistics, including time as a lead, trainer or the go-to person. Hands-on parcel and freight work: palletizing, loading, labeling. LTL booking is a plus; we teach our process. Forklift, walkie stacker or pallet jack experience (we certify you on our equipment). Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools. Accurate in software: inventory records, model and serial numbers, shipping portals, Excel and Outlook. Able to lift 50 lbs and move 500–1,000 lb equipment on casters. Valid Florida driver's license with a clean record (no CDL needed). Trailer experience is a plus. Medical equipment or biomed experience is a plus, not a requirement. Pay and schedule $21–$24 per hour to start, based on experience. Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, on-site in Casselberry, with some earlier starts and later finishes as the work requires. The first 90 days are an orientation period. 14 days paid time off plus paid company holidays. Background check and driving record check required.
