Job Summary The warehouse manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Matchstick warehouse facility and is accountable for efficient and profitable warehouse activities. This position oversees the storage, organization, and distribution of goods, manages inventory, coordinates logistics, and ensures that safety and compliance standards are met. Duties · Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedule staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts. Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives. · Hire and train new warehouse employees, ensuring proper safety orientation and licensing is conducted and documented. Facilitate on-going training as required. · Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. · Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed with support of HR. · Monitors expenditure; implement corrective actions if needed. · Track and maintain appropriate inventory levels. · Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. · Ensure orders are packed, processed, and shipped accurately and on-time. · Coordinate transportation teams to schedule deliveries and pickups. · Resolve issues that arise related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or order fulfillment errors. · Oversee warehouse layout and organization. · Design workflow processes to maximize efficiency and optimize for scaling. · Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies. · Conduct preventative maintenance and daily safety checks on equipment. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred. · One year or more of related work experience. · Ability to work independently and complete objectives with self-direction. · Excellent management and communication skills. Ability to motivate team, provide feedback, and solve conflicts. · Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility. · Basic computer knowledge, understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse. Must be able to safely operate a fork truck and conduct routine maintenance. This role is full-time, non-exempt with an expectation of 40 hours per week, and a starting pay range of $23 - $25 per hour. Salary and job title will be commensurate with knowledge and experience related to the position. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Work Location: In person
