The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading warehouse operations across multiple shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement and storage of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role oversees warehouse leadership and teams while driving inventory accuracy, productivity, cost management, food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Warehouse Manager partners with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maintenance, Safety, and Human Resources to support operational and business goals. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for warehouse operations across multiple shifts. Manage and develop warehouse leadership, including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and their respective teams. Establish warehouse priorities, staffing plans, performance expectations, and daily operational objectives. Ensure efficient receiving, storage, material movement, staging, shipping, and inventory control of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and ensure timely investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies. Monitor warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, labor productivity, shipping accuracy, damages, waste, overtime, and operational costs. Develop and implement processes to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and overall performance. Manage warehouse labor and operating costs while ensuring appropriate staffing levels to support business and production needs. Partner closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure materials and finished goods are available and moved according to manufacturing and shipping schedules. Ensure warehouse operations comply with GMPs, SQF requirements, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies. Lead and support SQF, food safety, safety, customer, and regulatory audits related to warehouse operations. Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, productivity, inventory accuracy, and warehouse flow. Oversee warehouse equipment, racking, scanners, material-handling equipment, and other operational resources to ensure they are properly maintained and utilized. Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of WMS, MES, ERP, scanning, and inventory-control systems. Ensure accurate warehouse documentation, system transactions, inventory records, and traceability. Coach and develop warehouse leaders and team members through regular feedback, training, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure warehouse leadership consistently applies company policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and performance standards. Investigate operational issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready, and food-safe warehouse environment. Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and warehouse improvement projects as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required 7–10+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience, preferably within food manufacturing or a similar regulated manufacturing environment. 5+ years of warehouse management or operational leadership experience, including responsibility for supervisors and/or other people leaders. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, labor management, and cost management. Strong knowledge of safety programs, continuous improvement, and warehouse best practices. Solid understanding of food safety, GMP, sanitation, and SQF requirements. Experience supporting or leading SQF, food safety, and safety audits. Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
