Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packing and Shipping Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient packing, labeling, and shipping of products to meet customer expectations and maintain smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities Prepare products for shipment by carefully packing items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit. Accurately label packages with shipping details, tracking numbers, and compliance information. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, RF scanners, and order pickers to load, unload, and organize inventory efficiently. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs to track inventory levels, update shipment statuses, and manage order data entry. Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments and ensure timely delivery in accordance with shipping & receiving protocols. Conduct inventory management tasks including stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts using inventory management software. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards and trade compliance regulations for international trade. Assist with order picking & packing processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment to meet customer specifications. Support warehouse operations by participating in load & unload activities and ensuring proper stocking procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with customer service teams regarding shipment statuses or discrepancies to enhance customer satisfaction. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving or order fulfillment is highly preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRPs is essential. Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklift trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and efficiently. Strong basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Proven experience in logistics operations involving international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Excellent data entry skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly across teams and external partners. Knowledge of shipping logistics processes including load & unload procedures and order tracking systems is advantageous.
