Warehouse Loss Protection Associate

General Trading Co., Inc. in Carlstadt, NJ, General Trading Co. is seeking a Warehouse Loss Protection Associate to support inventory integrity and asset protection within our warehouse operations.

This is a warehouse-based role focused on observing daily operations, validating processes, and identifying inventory discrepancies. This position is not a traditional security guard role and is not a sit-down post. The associate will spend the majority of their shift on the warehouse floor observing receiving, selection, loading, and returns activity.

This position plays a direct role in reducing inventory loss, improving accountability, and protecting company assets. Strong performance may lead to increased responsibility and advancement opportunities within the Safety & Security Department.

Functions:

• Observe warehouse operations including receiving, selection, loading, and returns
• Identify and document inventory discrepancies such as mis-picks, damaged pallets, wrong counts, and driver claims
• Assist with reviewing camera footage related to inventory loss, damage, or suspected misconduct
• Validate that inventory handling procedures are being followed correctly
• Report observed issues, trends, or concerns to Safety & Security leadership
• Maintain clear and accurate written notes and documentation
• Support investigations related to missing, damaged, or improperly handled product
• Assist with general safety and security duties as needed

 Requirements:

• Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and observe for extended periods
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn camera systems
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Preferred:

• Warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience
• Loss prevention or security experience
• Experience documenting incidents or discrepancies
