Job Title: Warehouse Lead Janitorial Worker Department: Operations / Maintenance Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM (Most Saturdays required) Work Environment: Cold Storage / Refrigerated Warehouse Key Requirement: Must be Bilingual Spanish/English , Leadership Experience Position Summary The Warehouse Lead Janitorial Worker maintains clean, safe, and sanitary conditions across the warehouse floor, loading docks, and facility common areas. Working in a cold-storage environment, this role plays a critical part in workplace safety and compliance by keeping operational areas free of debris, maintaining restrooms, and operating industrial cleaning equipment safely around active warehouse traffic. The warehouse lead will lead a total of 3 janitors in making sure all daily, weekly, monthly task are completed to standard. Key Responsibilities Dock & Warehouse Floor Maintenance: Clear trash, wood debris, and broken pallets from active warehouse aisles and loading dock areas. Work safely in high-traffic zones, maintaining constant awareness of moving forklifts, pallet jacks, and personnel. Operate the industrial floor sweeper to keep concrete floors clear of dust, dirt, and moisture buildup. Facility & Sanitation Duties: Clean, sanitize, and restock supplies in facility restrooms on a daily schedule. Empty all facility trash cans and dumpsters, disposing of waste and recyclable materials in designated areas. Sweep, mop, and sanitize breakrooms, hallways, and entryways. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all cold-storage safety protocols, food safety guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Promptly identify and report floor hazards, liquid spills, or equipment malfunctions to supervision. Qualifications & Physical Requirements Experience: Prior janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred; experience operating industrial floor sweepers is a plus. Leadership experience is a must. Required: Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English) Environment: Ability to work comfortably in a continuous refrigerated/cold-storage environment (temperatures range from 34°F to 45°F). Physical Demands: Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift. Reliability: Strong punctual attendance for early-morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM. Awareness: High level of spatial awareness and safety caution around heavy machinery and powered industrial trucks.
