Warehouse Lead Omaha, NE – Full Time | On-site at Capital Sanitary Position Summary: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations while working right alongside the warehouse team to ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped. This position provides hands-on leadership, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and promotes accountability, teamwork and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead by example by actively participating in daily warehouse operations. Delegate daily assignments and monitor workflow to ensure productivity goals are met. Pick, pack, stage and load customer orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare shipping documentation, including truck manifests and related paperwork. Verify outbound orders for accuracy before shipment. Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment. Ensure employees follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and RF scanners. Assist with inventory accuracy and general warehouse organization. Supervise, coach and support warehouse team members. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule: Monday – Friday: 11 am to 8 pm (or later) Physical Demands and Abilities Able to work in varying warehouse temperatures. Regularly lift and move up to 75lbs without assistance and occasionally lift up to 150lbs with assistance. Ability to stand and walk for majority of the workday. Frequently bend, reach, push, pull and lift throughout the shift. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Must possess sufficient vision, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception to safely perform job duties. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Three or more years of warehouse experience, including leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics procedures and policies Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance preferred Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of company staff Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems. Experience with warehouse scanners and inventory software preferred. Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently while leading a team.
