Warehouse Lead

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient distribution processes, and lead a team of warehouse associates. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate inventory control, manage logistics activities, and implement process improvements to optimize overall warehouse performance. Your leadership will drive safety, productivity, and accuracy across all warehouse functions, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing clear managerial communication and guidance to ensure high performance. Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems; conduct regular cycle counts and audits. Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate distribution center operations, shipping & receiving schedules, and delivery timelines. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and warehouse operations. Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques and inventory management systems. Proficiency in Google applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Skilled in warehouse management system (WMS) operation. Proven team management skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop warehouse staff effectively. Familiarity with materials handling equipment operation including forklifts; certification preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling. Experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean management to streamline operations. Excellent communication skills for managerial interactions, team leadership, and cross-department collaboration. Ability to manage distribution center operations efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
