Warehouse Inventory Specialist – Part-Time, Weekdays (9 AM–5 PM) – $20/hr

DirectBids is looking for 1–2 part-time Warehouse Inventory Specialists to join our small Houston warehouse team. Our Houston team manages and sells surplus equipment and inventory through online auctions, serving customers throughout the region. We're a small, hands-on operation where everyone pitches in and helps keep things moving. This position combines physical warehouse work with basic computer and smartphone tasks. You'll help unload and organize equipment, take photos, enter information into our system, and prepare items for sale through our online auctions. Schedule: This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. We have some flexibility with the specific days and hours, but applicants must be available to work during weekday business hours. This is not an evening or weekend position. No auction or specialized warehouse experience is required. We'll train you. We're mainly looking for reliable, hardworking people who show up on time, have a good attitude, pay attention to detail, and are comfortable working as part of a small team. What You'll Do Unload, sort, and organize incoming inventory Move and stage equipment throughout the warehouse Take clear photos of items for our online auctions Look up and identify unfamiliar equipment when needed Enter item information and descriptions into our auction system Help decide how items should be grouped and presented for sale Keep the warehouse clean and organized Help buyers pick up and load purchased equipment Answer occasional warehouse phone calls and assist customers Jump in and help with other warehouse tasks as needed What We're Looking For Hardworking, dependable, and honest Shows up on time and ready to work Willing to jump in and help wherever needed Comfortable doing physical warehouse work throughout the shift Able to regularly lift, move, and organize equipment Comfortable using a smartphone and computer Organized and pays attention to details Friendly and professional with customers and coworkers Willing to learn and take direction No auction experience required Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse job. You should expect to spend much of your shift standing, walking, lifting, moving, and organizing equipment. Some items can be heavy, so you must be comfortable performing physical work safely. Our warehouse is not climate-controlled , so you should also be comfortable working in normal Houston warehouse temperatures throughout the year.
