Non-CDL Delivery Driver — Seasonal, January to June
ConfidentialJu's Crawfish is a family farm and wholesale distributor out of Louisiana. Every spring we truck live crawfish into Dallas–Fort Worth and deliver to restaurants and grocery stores across the metroplex. We ran this hub last season and we're expanding it this year. This is not long-haul trucking. You pick up a loaded truck at our hub and run a day route, and you are home at night. It isn't a downtown job either — our hub sits east of Dallas, out near Terrell, and routes run across the region rather than around a few city blocks. THE JOB You meet the truck early in the morning at our hub, run a set route to restaurants and grocery accounts across the metroplex, and most days you're done in the afternoon. The work involves lifting and stacking sacks of around 30 lbs. You are the face of Ju's with our customers, and they decide whether we keep the account. THE SEASON January through June, occasionally starting in December. We need you for the full season. This is seasonal work, not year-round. THE SCHEDULE Not Monday to Friday. Crawfish moves on weekends, so expect some Saturdays and Sundays, with your days off falling during the week. Figure on about 40 hours, with more available through the peak if you want it. PAY $20–$25 an hour depending on experience, paid weekly. Plus a season-end bonus for every driver who finishes. The size comes down to the part you control: showing up, driving safe, hitting your stops on time, and how your customers come to feel about you. Picking up new accounts counts for more. Paid in one check when the season closes. WHAT WE NEED You need to be 21 or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and able to pass our insurance carrier's driver review. No CDL and no commercial driving history required — our trucks are under the weight that needs one. Most of all you need to show up every day you're scheduled. If someone misses a route, restaurants run out of crawfish. COMING WITH SOMEONE? If two or more of you want to come on together, say so. We'd rather take a crew who already know each other than a set of strangers. And if you're coming from out of the area, ask about housing.
