Warehouse Forklift Receiving Associate
Kabobs Inc.Job Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the manufacturing facility. Operates closely with the Quality Control department within the receiving warehouse. Essential Functions: · Reads receiving schedule, or production requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. · Transports materials and items from receiving to production, and to storage and other designated areas. · Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. · Reads and understands inventory. · Sorts and stores perishable goods in designated refrigerated rooms · Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes them to production workers or assembly line. · Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. · Weighs or counts items for distribution in conformance with company standards. · Arranges stock items in specified sequence for production. · Complete cycle counts. · Unloads trucks utilizing stand-up reach lift and pallet jacks. · Receives raw materials into inventory. · Works closely with the Quality Control department to ensure all incoming product meets all food and safety guidelines. Waits on approval before placing in inventory. · Run daily receiving report to verify transactions. · Maintains a clean warehouse · Follows all equipment safety checks. · Adheres to all GMPs, food and safety guidelines. · Other duties as assigned Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and update warehouse management systems. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or clamp trucks. Operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to OSHA regulations. Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately. Maintain organization within the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational efficiency. Assist in training new associates on warehouse procedures and equipment operation. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies as needed. Experience Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or pallet jacks is highly desirable. Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and equipment operation. Prior experience with warehouse management systems will be beneficial. A background in construction may also be advantageous for this role.
