Warehouse Associate / Order Picker (Bilingual English & Mandarin) - Building Materials
Homeasy Building Supplies IncWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate / Order Picker to join our growing team in Markham, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for picking customer orders, loading/unloading goods, and maintaining warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Mandarin, and possess a basic understanding of building materials or hardware products. Job Type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent Shift & Schedule: Day shift / Monday to Friday / Weekend availability (Optional) Work Location: In person (Markham, ON) Key Responsibilities: Order Picking: Accurately read English invoice/order sheets, locate items in the warehouse, and prepare them for customer pickup or delivery. Loading & Unloading: Assist customers with loading purchased goods into their vehicles, and safely unload incoming shipments from delivery trucks. Inventory Replenishment: Unpack, sort, and shelve new inventory; perform routine restocking to keep the warehouse organized. Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift (if licensed) to move, stack, and organize heavy building materials. Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with workplace safety standards. Qualifications & Skills: Language: Fluent in both English and Mandarin (Required). Must be able to read English orders and converse comfortably with both English- and Mandarin-speaking customers and team members. Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse setting or familiarity with building materials / construction products is highly preferred. Certification: A valid Forklift Operator License (Counterbalance or Reach Truck) is a strong asset. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work full-time or part-time in Canada.
