Warehouse Associate (Medical Supplies)
United Canada IncOverview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment specializing in medical supplies. This role is critical to ensuring accurate receiving, efficient order fulfillment, and proper inventory management, while maintaining high standards of organization and compliance. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection Receive incoming shipments of medical supplies. Inspect goods for accuracy, quality, and potential damages. Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items promptly. Shipping & Order Fulfillment Pick, pack, and prepare orders for different fulfillment channels accurately for shipment. Ensure proper packaging, especially for fragile medical equipment and large furniture items. Coordinate with carriers and arrange shipments (LTL, courier, palletized freight). Generate and process shipping documentation and labels. Inventory Management Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems. Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or excess inventory. Assist in tracking lot numbers, expiry dates, and regulated product information where applicable. Warehouse Organization Organize and maintain storage areas for both small medical items and large furniture products. Optimize space utilization while ensuring accessibility and safety. Label and categorize products clearly for efficient retrieval. Equipment & Handling Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts (if certified). Handle heavy and bulky furniture items with care. Follow proper procedures for handling sensitive or regulated medical supplies. Compliance & Safety Adhere to workplace health and safety standards. Follow proper handling and storage requirements for medical items. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. Comply with company policies and any applicable regulatory standards. Qualifications & Requirements Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred. Experience handling medical supplies or regulated products is an asset. G Level driver's license Ability to lift and move heavy items (including furniture). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience with Shopify, Ship Station and Amazon is advantageous. Forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions Physically demanding role involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Handling a mix of small packaged goods and large, bulky furniture items. Fast-paced environment with daily shipping and receiving deadlines.
