Warehouse Associate – Material Receiving & Job Preparation

Job Summary Palmer Electric Company is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our daily operations. This position is responsible for receiving deliveries, verifying incoming materials, pulling materials for upcoming jobs, and ensuring everything is properly organized, labeled, and ready for pickup by our field teams. The ideal candidate is someone who follows established processes and procedures, works accurately, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. Key Responsibilities Receive incoming material deliveries and collect and verify packing slips, receivers, and other delivery documentation. Check incoming materials for accuracy and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies. Review material lists submitted by Project Managers or generated through our ResiPac system. Accurately pull and organize materials according to individual job requirements. Stage materials in designated bins or areas, clearly labeled with the appropriate job information. Ensure materials are complete, organized, and ready for pickup by field personnel. Operate a forklift, once trained and authorized, to unload palletized deliveries and move pallets within the warehouse as needed. Maintain accurate receiving records and follow established warehouse procedures. Keep warehouse shelves, bins, inventory, and work areas clean, organized, and properly labeled. Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate team members. Assist with inventory counts, stocking, and other general warehouse duties as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and material handling guidelines. Qualifications Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, or order fulfillment experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow written instructions, material lists, and established procedures. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software. Ability to accurately count, sort, label, and organize materials. Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided. Experience with electrical or construction materials is a plus, but not required. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and perform warehouse duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
