Position: Warehouse Associate Location: 330 Governors Highway, South Windsor, CT 06074 Company: Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace Company Overview The Warehouse Associate supports Electro-Methods’ aerospace manufacturing operations by performing hands-on material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving activities. This role ensures accurate, timely movement of materials to support production schedules while maintaining strict compliance with AS9100 quality standards, safety requirements, and Lean operating principles. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Control Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips. Identify, label, and store raw materials, hardware, WIP, and finished goods in assigned locations. Accurately transact receipts, issues, and transfers in the ERP/MRP system. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy. Report discrepancies, damages, or nonconforming materials promptly. Material Handling & Production Support Pick, kit, and stage materials in accordance with work orders and production schedules. Deliver materials to manufacturing cells to support uninterrupted production flow. Return unused materials to inventory with proper documentation and system updates. Support point-of-use material replenishment and kanban processes where applicable. Shipping & Logistics Support Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Verify shipment contents and documentation prior to release. Assist with coordinating shipments with carriers and internal stakeholders. Quality, Safety & Compliance Follow all safety policies, including proper use of PPE and safe material-handling practices. Adhere to AS9100, ITAR (where applicable), and internal quality procedures. Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and organized storage areas. Warehouse Organization & Continuous Improvement Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse and stockroom areas. Participate in 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify and suggest improvements to material flow, storage, and handling processes. Required Qualifications & Skills Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read work orders, packing slips, and basic inventory documentation. Basic computer skills; ERP/MRP system experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Additional Information Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments. Forklift or powered industrial truck certification (or willingness to obtain). Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and controlled material handling. Exposure to Lean manufacturing or 5S practices. Key Competencies & Behaviors Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable, safety-conscious, and punctual.
