Warehouse Associate A locally-owned, wholesale distribution warehouse in Lafayette is looking for a full-time warehouse worker to perform warehouse operations with optimum precision and efficiency, helping to fulfill orders and prepare them for shipment. This is a physically demanding job in an uncooled facility. Qualifications: · Prior warehouse experience of at least 2 years. · Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lb. packages in an uncooled warehouse. · Ability to lead projects and work independently desired. · Minimum 2 years of forklift experience. · Shipping/receiving experience of at least 1-2 years. · High school diploma (or GED) desired. · Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings · Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the job: · Performs the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts and finished products. · Uses machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, etc. · Basic computer skills and comfortable working within company software. · Strong attention to detail. · Neat and legible handwriting skills. · Drive company vehicles as needed. · Learns relevant policies and procedures and applies them to the job. · Follows written and verbal direction. · Demonstrates basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). · Works well with others and able to learn and perform trouble-shooting skills.
