Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Attendant Job Summary The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Attendant is responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments and other destinations. This role involves operating passenger vans, ensuring passenger safety, and providing courteous assistance to individuals with varying mobility needs. The attendant plays a vital role in delivering reliable, compassionate transportation services within a professional and compliant environment. Responsibilities Operate passenger vans to transport clients to scheduled medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, assisting those with mobility challenges as needed. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine safety checks before and after each trip. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties. Provide friendly, respectful service to clients, addressing their needs professionally and compassionately. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and client information as required by company procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatch or supervisors regarding schedules, delays, or any issues encountered during transportation. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience operating passenger vans or similar vehicles is preferred. Ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly in various traffic conditions. Good interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and compassion for clients’ needs. Physical ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges when necessary. Reliable punctuality and strong attention to safety standards. Must pass background checks and any required licensing or certification processes related to transportation services.
