WAREHOUSE WORKER / WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE Jersey City, NJ Pay Rate $20.00 per hour Position Type Full-Time / Hourly Language Requirement Bilingual English/Spanish Position Summary IWS is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Worker / Warehouse Associate to support daily seafood warehouse and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment, handling seafood products, preparing orders, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and working as part of a fast-paced team. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required. Essential Responsibilities Pick, pack, label, and prepare seafood products and customer orders for shipment or delivery. Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming seafood and related products. Assist with inventory organization and maintaining accurate product placement. Re-ice, package, and prepare seafood products while maintaining proper product temperature. Load and unload products and assist with preparing orders for delivery. Assist drivers and other warehouse personnel with delivery preparation and related tasks. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized warehouse, processing area, and shipping area. Follow all food-handling, sanitation, safety, and company procedures. Work efficiently in a refrigerated/cold warehouse environment. Perform additional warehouse and production duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish – preferred. Previous warehouse, seafood, food distribution, or food-handling experience is preferred but not required. Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to maintain a professional attitude and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Must be comfortable working in refrigerated/cold environments. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move products and materials as required for warehouse operations. Physical & Work Environment Refrigerated/cold warehouse and seafood-handling environment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Employees may be required to handle wet products and work around ice and refrigerated storage areas. Proper PPE and compliance with food-safety and workplace-safety procedures are required.
