Warehouse Associate

General Summary The warehouse assistant will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. This position will also package, scan, and prepare orders for delivery. This person needs to be comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. The warehouse assistant may also operate heavy machinery, or drive equipment, someone with experience and a valid driver’s license is preferred. Education, Experience & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Physically able to lift 50 pounds or more Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Essential Duties & Responsibilities Track consumable inventory Request for consumable inventory order Load and unload materials Receiving materials (Check material against PO) Verify/segregate material in warehouse according to project Notify purchasing lead of material non-conformance Assemble Material kits as requested by manufacturing Transfer kits to shop Transfer material from paint to assembly/shipping Shipping prep Pictures before shipping Bill of Lading Complete customer hard copy data books Contact vendor about nonconformance Contact dumpster/recycling company Manage material records from shop and provide to Purchasing Receive and process incoming stock and materials Pick and file orders from stock Package and ship orders Manage, organize, and retrieve stock in the warehouse Manage material in the yard Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to load and unload materials Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures Note: The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by persons assigned to this job.
