POSITION OVERVIEW The Warehouse Associate is an integral part of the success of CalfCare. Due to the nature of the organization and our clients, this person will be responsible for accurately preparing orders for shipments. This is a fast-paced communication-heavy environment where changes and adjustments can happen without notice. This position will also be accepting incoming shipments and helping oversee the general organization of the warehouse. You will work closely with others in the warehouse, field reps, veterinarians, and the rest of the CalfCare team as well as CalfCare clients. You may be asked to help in other departments as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pick, pull, pack customer orders in a timely, efficient, accurate manner Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against supplier's count and immediately report discrepancies and damages to warehouse and purchasing manager per company policy Restock supplies and inventory. Communicate with Warehouse Manager on low stock Process orders in Computer Database- Fulfillment and Invoicing Transport materials on shipping dock with a hand truck, forklift or other vehicle as needed Occasionally deliver orders on designated delivery routes as demand requires QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record A general understanding of animal husbandry, primarily livestock (Helpful) Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps to plan delivery routes Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Must be able to load and unload packages without assistance in various types of weather Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (or sit during delivery routes) BENEFITS HVP offers a full benefits package, including various health insurance plan options, vision, dental, and life insurance, long and short term disability, critical illness and accident insurance, and GAP insurance.
