Warehouse Associate
Fiber Instruments Sales, Inc.The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse, inventory, shipping, inspection, and manufacturing-support activities. The position supports the fulfillment of customer orders, preparation and processing of shipments, inventory control, and other operational requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and process customer shipments by accurately packaging, labeling, documenting, and verifying orders. Create shipping labels and tracking information and load shipments for delivery. Pick, stage, and prepare materials and products for customer orders, package assembly, manufacturing, and other operational requirements. Verify part numbers, quantities, and order requirements to ensure accuracy. Maintain accurate inventory control by recording and updating inventory transactions. Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations and promptly identify and report discrepancies. Safely operate warehouse and material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, carts, and similar equipment, when properly trained and authorized. Communicate and coordinate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to address priorities and resolve issues. Support company operations by assisting with warehouse, inventory, shipping, inspection, and manufacturing-related activities. Follow all applicable company procedures, quality requirements, safety practices, and regulatory and customer-specific requirements. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs. Required Qualifications and Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to following workplace safety and quality standards. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred but not required. Previous data-entry experience is beneficial. Experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, or other warehouse equipment is preferred. Entry-level candidates with the appropriate attitude, work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn will be considered. Physical Requirements The Warehouse Associate must be able to perform physical activities associated with warehouse and manufacturing-support operations, including: Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive activities. Pick, stage, assemble, package, and move products and materials. Load and unload shipments. Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation. Safely operate warehouse and material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized. Compensation The wage rate is commensurate with the position, shift worked, experience, education, and required skill level.
