Warehouse Associate

Current Openings: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:22 PM) starting at $18.50/HR Overview Yazaki Northern Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our dynamic Warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for pulling orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation. Additional training will include cross-training in the finished product packaging area. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, a basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes, forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll do Utilize PC programs, scanners, and other electronics to track inventory movements. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely. Ensure compliance with safety protocols while handling materials within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in shipping and receiving operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations. Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Basic qualifications Previous warehouse experience is ideal but not required Familiarity with PC programs, scanners, and electronics. Power Industrial Truck experience Physical Requirements Pushing, pulling, and lifting of reels with weights ranging from 3-35lbs. Constant standing, walking, twisting, and bending throughout the shift. Constant use of the shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands throughout the shift.
