Warehouse Associate

Distribution Associate Reports To: Distribution Manager & Receiving Manager Purpose of Position: The Distribution Associate, with direction from the Distribution Manager, will be responsible for the continuous flow, organization, and back stock of merchandise. Responsibilities include receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise. D.C. Associates will also handle incoming and outgoing merchandise from store to store. Efficiency, accuracy, cleanliness, and punctuality are expected. They must have the ability to make informative decisions, and solve problems in a critical and diligent manner. Responsibilities/Duties: Receives, processes, handles, organizes, and stores incoming merchandise and supplies in accordance to Tyler’s procedures and standards. Ensures all documentation is accurate, organized, and complete. Maintains an organized list of inventory that is absent from Tyler’s inventory management program during time of receiving. Maintains stock room appearance and product organization to company standards. Assists in the daily opening and closing duties. Responsible for warehouse cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management. Ensures that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with Tyler’s policies, strategies, and procedures. Skills Ability to adjust priorities, make decisions quickly, and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain proper documentation pertaining to incoming shipment. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and follow instructions. Ability to lift 50lbs above chest. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. Requirements Available to work a weekdays Be familiar with basic functions of computers and technology. Must be detail oriented and highly observant.Self-motivator with strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills. Desirable qualities should include a committed and positive attitude.
