Warehouse Associate SoilBiotics | Kankakee, Illinois SoilBiotics is seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Associate to assist with day-to-day warehouse operations. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and dependable attendance. Responsibilities Accurately pull, prepare, package, label, and stage customer orders. Use bench and floor scales to accurately weigh products during order fulfillment. Prepare pallets and other shipments for outgoing freight. Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other appropriate equipment. Receive incoming inventory, verify shipments, and report discrepancies. Properly store incoming products and maintain an organized inventory area. Maintain separation and proper handling of products as required by company procedures. Clean work areas, scales, tools, and equipment after use and between products as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, including shelves, pallet areas, workstations, floors, and equipment. Assist with washing totes and drums, cleaning spills, disposing of damaged pallets, and other routine warehouse housekeeping. Assist with samples and other general warehouse duties as needed. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Work cooperatively with other employees and follow direction from management. Qualifications Dependable and punctual with the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule. Able to repeatedly lift, carry, pick up, and set down 50-pound pails . Able to perform physical warehouse work throughout the scheduled shift. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a small team. Willingness to perform a variety of warehouse duties as business needs change. Equipment Experience Experience operating the following is preferred: Forklift Caterpillar 906H loader/tractor Pallet jack Bench scale Floor scale Other warehouse and material-handling equipment Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and handle containers weighing up to 50 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move materials as required to perform warehouse duties. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment for which the employee has been trained and authorized. This position is part time, and sometimes as needed. Starting hours for Fall 2026 are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM-3PM. This schedule will change as business needs change in the future. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week Work Location: In person
