WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

Warehouse Assistant – Duties & Responsibilities 1. Laundry Operations Wash, dry, fold, and organize returned soiled rags, mop heads, towels, sheets, and other cleaning materials. Maintain a clean and organized laundry area. Ensure clean materials are properly stored and available for distribution. Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages. 2. Warehouse Order Picking & Packing Accurately pick cleaning supplies and equipment according to submitted orders. Pack and organize orders for pickup or delivery. Verify order quantities and accuracy before orders leave the warehouse. Report missing or insufficient inventory. 3. Supply Pickup & Delivery Pick up cleaning supplies and equipment from vendors when necessary. Deliver supplies and equipment to customer locations and company personnel. Safely load and unload company vehicles. Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed in a timely manner. 4. Grounds Maintenance Mow the small grass area surrounding the facility as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the exterior property. Remove litter and debris from designated outdoor areas. 5. Office & Facility Cleaning Clean and sanitize office areas, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility. Empty trash containers and replace liners. Replenish restroom and kitchen supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and professional working environment. 6. Warehouse Organization Keep the warehouse neat, clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter. Ensure all products and equipment are returned to their designated storage locations. Maintain clear aisles, walkways, and work areas. Identify and report damaged or improperly stored materials. 7. Company Vehicle Cleaning Clean and organize the interiors of company vehicles when necessary. Remove trash, debris, and unnecessary materials. Report vehicle damage or maintenance concerns. 8. Vehicle Maintenance Coordination Transport company vehicles to and from maintenance and repair facilities when directed. Assist with coordinating vehicle drop-offs and pickups. Communicate maintenance concerns and completed service information to the Warehouse Manager. 9. Receiving & Stocking Inventory Receive incoming supply deliveries. Verify received items and quantities against packing slips or purchase orders. Report shortages, damaged products, or incorrect shipments. Promptly put away supplies in their designated warehouse locations. 10. Monthly Warehouse Inventory Participate in monthly physical inventory counts. Accurately count and record warehouse supplies and materials. Identify discrepancies between physical inventory and recorded quantities. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records. 11. Production Equipment Maintenance & Repair Learn how to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial cleaning equipment. Assist with preventive maintenance and basic repairs under the direction of the Warehouse Manager. Equipment includes: Commercial vacuum cleaners HOST carpet cleaning machines GLS cleaning machines Swing machines Floor burnishers Automatic floor scrubbers Other commercial cleaning equipment used by ServiceMaster Maintain a clean and organized equipment repair area. Report equipment requiring additional repairs or replacement parts. General Expectations The Warehouse Assistant is expected to be dependable, punctual, organized, and capable of working independently. The employee must follow company safety procedures, properly care for company property, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, and communicate any operational concerns to the Warehouse Manager. The position requires flexibility, as daily priorities may change depending on warehouse activity, supply orders, deliveries, and equipment needs.
