ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Warehouse Assistant position works with the Warehouse team to keep our installation flow moving smoothly. Responsibilities include unpacking and accurately stocking inventory, picking inventory from our warehouse and packing job trailers, replacing unused materials as needed and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. 

Safety - for our team, our customers, and their property - is our primary priority. The Warehouse Assistant is expected to follow all safety protocols. 

The position requires a person who is flexible, eager to learn, and a skilled communicator. The Warehouse Assistant will spend the majority of their time working in our Kingston, NY Warehouse, both indoor and outdoors. Some driving around the state to pick up and deliver products and trailers may be required. A dedication to taking the best possible care of our customers and colleagues is essential. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Warehouse Assistant will:

• Maintain safe and clean working condition of warehouse, loading area, vehicles and trailers
• Accurately update and maintain bin locations within the warehouse
• Safely load and secure equipment for transportation
• Support receiving activities 
• Support outgoing freight (returns) activities
• Thrive in an ever-changing industry, tackling new opportunities with a positive attitude
• Support SunCommon’s Culture. Actively contribute to a positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable team environment. We need to love what we do, work well with our teammates, and appreciate our customers in order to achieve and deliver success.

• Minimum age requirement: 18 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, kneel, squat, and climb ladders. 
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, both inside and outside.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
