Warehouse Assistant

Overview Transcar Express is looking for a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our daily warehouse and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will help ensure that materials, equipment, and shipments are properly handled, organized, and documented while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Receive, organize, and properly store incoming materials and equipment. Assist with loading, unloading, picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Maintain an organized and clean warehouse area. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records. Follow company procedures and all applicable safety regulations . Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely, as required. Support the warehouse and operations team with daily tasks. Report damaged, missing, or irregular materials to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned. Proven experience operating heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management software (such as AS400 or Warehouse Management System). Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and proper PPE use to ensure a safe working environment. Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation and basic troubleshooting. Excellent manual handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for inventory counting and order processing. Previous warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures and order picking & packing processes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety compliance. What We Are Looking For Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred . Reliable, responsible, and punctual. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving materials. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
