Warehouse Assistant

Job description Warehouse Assistant Corning & Company, located in Rohnert Park, California, is an award winning distillery that is home to brands such as Sonoma Distilling Company, Pond Fork & Old Quaker to name just a few. We are expanding our team and seek to fill a full time warehouse assistant position. This person should be someone who is familiar with winery-style barrel warehouse / inventory / shipping and receiving warehouse operations. Shifts will range from 8 to 10 hours per day; up to 40+ hours per week. Scheduling flexibility is a plus. This is a full time position with benefits following a probationary period. Compensation is based on work experience. Position Requirements: Inventory management of finished product and raw materials including but not limited to barrels, bottles, and packaging materials Assist in bottling and packaging of the product Assist in protecting the finished goods inventory assets of the company and protect against product loss Receiving and stocking raw material inventory Barrel room operations including but not limited to; forklift driving, barrel filling, barrel disgorging, batch building, and oversight, palletizing new/used materials Coordinate barrel movement throughout the warehousing operation to insure that operation has the right barrels (type, cooperage, etc.) for product being produced Loading and unloading containers and/or trucks Maintain, organize and keep a clean warehouse working environment Generate and/or maintain warehouse operations paperwork Working with a safety-first mentality Other duties as needed Qualifications: Must be able to lift in excess of 75 lbs Must be able to climb into and out of barrel rack storage and work in high and/or narrow work spaces Physical mobility: extensive walking, bending, kneeling, stooping throughout entire shift Standing for long periods, up to 6 hours Ability to endure exposure to high heat and cold throughout entire shift Must be reliable and punctual Must be able to work in a fast pace working environment Must be able to legally work in the United States Must speak, read and write fluent English Experience & Education: Minimum 1 years prior experience in a warehouse environment Experience in food or beverage industries, preferred High School Diploma or equivalent.
