Outdoor DimensionsPOSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, pulling, staging, packing, and distributing materials and products. This position is responsible for accurately preparing Interior and Multi-Family orders, maintaining inventory and warehouse records, and helping keep the warehouse safe, clean, and organized. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES RECEIVING AND SHIPPING Load and unload materials and products from trucks and containers safely and efficiently. Assist with receiving and shipping activities and verify that items, quantities, and supporting documents are accurate. Inspect received and outgoing items for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies and promptly report concerns to the supervisor. Wrap, pack, label, and secure products to prevent damage during storage, handling, or transportation. ORDER PULLING AND STAGING Accurately pull, verify, pack, and stage Interior and Multi-Family orders according to work orders, pick lists, schedules, and delivery requirements. Pull products and materials from storage for loading, delivery, installation, production, or interdepartmental use. Confirm that orders are complete and properly labeled before releasing them for delivery, pickup, or transfer to another department. Communicate missing, damaged, incorrect, or unavailable items promptly so issues can be resolved before scheduled delivery or installation. INVENTORY AND WAREHOUSE ORGANIZATION Track, organize, and place materials and products in assigned warehouse locations. Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and recordkeeping to support accurate inventory levels. Maintain clear aisles, organized storage areas, and a clean work environment to support safe and efficient operations. Use hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment only when trained and authorized. TEAM AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Installation, Purchasing, and other departments to meet daily operational and project needs. Follow work instructions, safety procedures, schedules, and established warehouse processes. Attend required company and department meetings Demonstrate commitment to company core values, policies, and safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, material-handling, or related experience preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of warehouse practices, order pulling, packing, wrapping, labeling, and safe material handling. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and packing materials, including cutters, tape, wrapping materials, and related supplies. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately match items, quantities, labels, pick lists, and work orders. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize assignments, follow written and verbal instructions, and complete work within required timelines. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic or paper inventory, receiving, shipping, and order records. Reliable attendance and regular on-site availability are required to perform the essential functions of this position. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and understand work orders, pick lists, packing slips, labels, safety information, short correspondence, and warehouse procedures. Ability to complete routine records and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, drivers, and other business contacts.
